Phew - what a week! I know it's been a little while since I last blogged, but these past few weeks have been so busy, I feel like I've barely had time to sit down to pee (TMI? Sorry).
It's been a rough few days (Jason's out of town, Noam's got 4 molars coming in and our dog, Riley, has a sprained knee), so I've been feeling really overwhelmed. (And I kind of let it all hang out on Instagram.) Anyway, so yesterday, to combat my anxiety, I made a point to get outside and spend some time breathing in the fresh air at the park, running around with Noam and pointing at every pigeon and calling it a duck.
The house renovation (on top of everything else right now and which I'll share more about soon) is coming along, but since we're getting toward the end of it, it's been a lot more work. We're constantly running to meetings with different subcontractors, our architect, our landscaper and sourcing finishing materials. With all of that going on, plus our travel, plus what I mentioned above, I've had - needless to say - a really full plate. In fact, I'm not even sure where the plate is anymore.
That's all to say, it's been really easy to forget how important it is to just take things slowly, stop and breathe deeply and say 'no' once in a while. But I'm working on slowing down as much as possible and focusing on each moment - for better or for worse - that we have together.
On a lighter note, now that Noam's entered Toddlerhood, we've recently upped his shoe and snack game, and I couldn't be happier. We got Noam his first real pair of sneakers from Pediped, and I'm so incredibly in love with them. They're super adorable and designed to promote healthy, proper growth of little ones' feet. Plus, this line - the Grip 'n' Go - is specifically designed to help toddlers go from unsteady walkers to confident movers.
Noam's also been snacking a lot more often - he's more of a grazer than a full-meal-eater - so I make sure that we're always stocked with healthy, nutritious snacks that we can also take on-the-go. Some of our favorites are by NurturMe (Noam especially loves the Quinoa Squares and the pea, banana and pineapple Yum-a-Roo's).
One final note: all of these photos were taken on my iPhone 7. Isn't that incredible? I think it's incredible.
